On December 27, 2015, the International Ice Dragon Boat Series — Harbin (China) Stop kicked off in full swing in Harbin, the "Ice City". A total of 160 athletes were divided into 12 12-person ice dragon boat teams and 30 5-person ice dragon boat teams . Using ice picks instead of oars, the athletes raced fiercely against each other, staging a unique ice dragon boat competition on the ice. The venue was abuzz with excitement, as both athletes and spectators were filled with passion, attracting extensive coverage from media outlets at home and abroad.
