The World Congress of Sport aims to provide a forum for all sports organizations to exchange views on matters of common interest on an annual basis.

The constitution of the World Congress defines its mission as: maintaining the authority and autonomy of its members; establishing close connections

between its members and various sports organizations; coordinating and safeguarding shared interests; collecting, verifying, and disseminating information.

On April 19, 2016, the World Sports Congress’ Swiss summit opened as scheduled, with 780 world-wide individual sports organizations participating in

the conference.

The emerging ice-based sport of "Ice Dragon Boat" has become a new highlight for SportAccord (the World Sports Federation).
