Local time 9th February, IIDBF hosted Winterlude, Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival Committee undertaked, Chinese embassy in Canada supported the 1st World Club Crews Ice Dragon Boat Championships(WCCIC) launched at Ottawa Canada. International Ice Dragon Boat Federation President Zhongyi Luo, International Dragon Boat Federation President Mike Thomas, Chinese ambassador to Canada Shaye Lu, Deputy mayor of Ottawa Laura Dudas, Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival CEO John Brooman had attended the opening ceremony.

As the world’s largest, the most powerful ice dragon boat race in 2019, it attacted eight national teams from China, Britain, Ireland, Ukraine, New Zealand, America, Korea, Canada and 125 teams from the State of California, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont in America, and Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, Yukon in Canada to participate in the race.
