During the Ottawa International Dragon Boat Festival, held from June 23 to 26, 2016, ice dragon boats were exhibited in a key exhibition area at the event venue.
This exhibition of ice dragon boats attracted attention and recognition from the Mayor of Ottawa and professional participating dragon boat paddlers. Officials
from the Canadian Department of Canadian Heritage and many paddlers attended the event and personally experienced ice dragon boat technical movements.
The ice dragon boat exhibition was covered in large sections by local print media. Meanwhile, it has been initially confirmed that the Ice Dragon Boat Race for
Canada's 150th National Day Celebration will be held from February 18 to 20, 2017.
