Ice competition, passion unleashed! On January 6th, the 2023-2024 Ice Dragon Boat Super League (Qitaihe Stop) kicked off at

Wanbao Qiyi Ice and Snow Tribe (Wanbao Lake) in Taoshan District, Qitaihe City. This competition is guided by the International Ice Dragon

Boat Federation (IIDBF), hosted by the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, undertaken by the CPC Qitaihe Municipal Committee andQitaihe Municipal People's Government, implemented by the People's Government of Taoshan District, Qitaihe City, and promoted and operated by Dalian Qianlong Water Sports Development Co., Ltd.

The Qitaihe Stop of the Ice Dragon Boat Super League sets up two groups: Open Group and Local Group, and two

events: 12-person ice dragon boat 100-meter straight race and 5-person ice dragon boat straight race.

The Open Group adopts the round-robin format, while the Local Group is conducted in preliminary,

semi-final, and final stages. The top 3 teams in each event will be awarded trophies and certificates.

Ice dragon boating is an innovation and extension of the traditional dragon boat sport. It retains the skill and

competitiveness of conventional dragon boating, breaks the seasonal limitation of the sport, and is more full of speed and

passion. It is a new ice sport that integrates competitiveness, teamwork, and entertainment. There are 10-16 ice dragon

boat series races held worldwide every year. During the 150th anniversary celebration of Canada's founding, ice dragon

boating was featured as an important event, with video views exceeding 5 million.

The Ice Dragon Boat Super League is a new IP event of ice dragon boating. Initiated jointly by Heilongjiang

Province, Jilin Province, Liaoning Province, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it adopts a stop-based competition

system, attracting ice dragon boat teams from all over the country to participate. It provides a broader platform for

ice dragon boat teams from various cities to compete and brings an excellent participation experience to all participants.

The champions of each stop will compete in the final, and the winning team will win the annual championship.

Qitaihe City is known as "Cold Region Northern Medicine", "Capital of Coking Coal", "Hometown of Chinese

Winter Olympic Champions", "Hometown of Chinese Short Track Speed Skating", and "Cradle of Winter Olympic

Champions • Holy Land of Short Track Speed Skating". It has cultivated 10 world short track speed skating champions,

including Zhang Jie, Yang Yang, Wang Meng, and Fan Kexin. It is a "National Key High-Level Sports Reserve

Talent Base" designated by the General Administration of Sport of China.

In June 2022, it was awarded the "City of Olympic Champions" commemorative trophy by the Chinese

Olympic Committee.Wanbao Mountain has stories, and Wanbao Lake has legends.The holding of the 2023-2024

Ice Dragon Boat Super League (Qitaihe Stop) is a positive practice of the development concept of "Lucid waters and

lush mountains are invaluable assets, and ice and snow are also invaluable assets", and a positive response

On January 7th, the 2023-2024 Ice Dragon Boat Super League will move to Jingpo Lake for the third stop.
