Ice carvings and jade-like landscapes form a painting, and the snow-clad scenery adorns the Ice City. On January 7, the ice surface at Harbin Flood Control Memorial Tower turned into a boiling ocean of joy. The "2024-2025 Ice Dragon Boat Super League All-Star Carnival"
was grandly held here, and an ice and snow feast integrating sports competition and cultural tourism kicked off, adding a unique touch of
brilliance to Harbin in winter.
The 11th National Mass Ice and Snow Season is hosted by Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, Heilongjiang Radio and Television Station, and Harbin Municipal People's Government; undertaken by Heilongjiang Provincial Social Sports Guidance and Chess and Card Sports Management Center, Culture and Sports Division of Heilongjiang Radio and Television Station (Heilongjiang Provincial Omnimedia Center), Harbin Municipal Sports Bureau, and People's Government of Daoli District, Harbin; co-organized by Harbin Madier Cultural Tourism Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Dalian Qianlong Water Sports Development Co., Ltd.; and supported by the Social Work Department of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee. Leaders and guests from the Provincial Social Work Department, Provincial Sports Bureau, Heilongjiang Radio and Television Station, Harbin Municipal Government, Harbin Madier Cultural Tourism Investment Group Co., Ltd., and other institutions attended the opening ceremony. After the leaders and guests performed the "dragon eye-dotting" ritual, they blew the whistle to start the All-Star Race of the 2024-2025 Ice Dragon Boat Super League.
This carnival gathered the outstanding ice dragon boat teams from the first three stations, bringing a spectacular exhibition match to the on-site audience. Ice dragon boat enthusiasts from all over the country gathered together to witness this ice feast. The All-Star Carnival is not only a competitive event, but also a display of ice culture. Each participating team demonstrated superb skills and a spirit of teamwork on the ice. Whether it was the moment of fast paddling or the skill of precise turning, it excited the on-site audience. The athletes overcame the cold weather and complex ice conditions during the competition, demonstrating the charm and passion of ice dragon boat sports.
In addition to the outstanding performances by professional teams, the carnival also specially invited the Guofeng (Chinese-style) Cosplay team and Internet celebrity team to experience ice dragon boat sports on site. Members of the Cosplay team wore various Chinese-style costumes, adding a lot of fun and charm to the event. The Internet celebrity team transmitted the wonderful moments on site to a broader audience through live broadcast platforms, allowing more people to feel the charm of ice dragon boat.
This carnival is a feast of ice sports and an innovative display of cultural and creative products. The artistic and creative ice cream and egg waffles of the "Qian Xiaolong" brand became popular products on site. These imaginative, cultural, and innovative products have unique tastes and integrate the elements of ice dragon boat, attracting many audiences to stop and taste.
The "Ice Dragon Boat Super League" will become a shining business card for national winter sports and cultural tourism.
